The real estate management company AEW has acquired from the AKM Real Estate II fund , managed by Mina Inmobiliaria, an office building located at 39-47 Juan de Austria Street in Barcelona, with a surface area of approximately 8,500 sqm, with 24 parking spaces.
With this transaction, AEW reaffirms the interest of investors in the Barcelona office market, especially in the 22@ area, where demand for space continues to rise with very high levels of contracting, surpassing even the operations registered in Madrid.
The premises are currently leased to the Generalitat de Catalunya and the rest of the office floors are unoccupied, so the building will undergo a thorough refurbishment to bring it to the highest levels of quality and sustainability.
The transaction has been advised by TC Gabinete Inmobiliario, an independent Spanish consulting firm, leader in large real estate transactions with close to 2 Billion € advised in the last 2 years, with whom AEW also closed this month the purchase from Metrovacesa of 216 homes in Valencia for rent.
